“I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, all that you're yet to be”.

-Ernest Hemmingway

All our best work starts on ourselves, and ripples outward to fill up all parts of our lives. It is my hope that the work I have done to learn, craft, raise, propagate, train, and ponder, can be passed on to inspire and help others.

Let us all experience the fullness of life - breathe deeply, smell the flowers, watch the sunrises and sunsets, birth & nurse & snuggle the babies, take risks, follow dreams, have the hard conversations, taste the food, and love all the way. This is a life of leaning in to the wind, and then finding shelter in the coziness of the hearth and home. In the home - where spirit rules, where the roosters crow early, the children laugh and sing, and where the bees bring in the bounty.

It’s time to Be. Bountiful.

Bee Bountiful started in 2013 when I began keeping bees on our mountain farm in Montana. I was fortunate to learn from Russian natural beekeepers Fedor Lazutin and Dr. Leo Sharashkin. It has been a journey from there - a journey into motherhood, wildcrafting, nourishing cooking, traditional land & animal husbandry, Waldorf education, yoga, martial arts, nordic skiing, and law enforcement.

I am deeply inspired by the Nordic cultures, and spent my childhood intermittently submersed in the land of the trolls. My husband and I strive to raise the children wild and unplugged, allowing them to experience the magic of childhood, nature, winter, and the elements. This has helped create robust, spirited, thriving, joyful children.

Ultimately, I believe in the empowerment of people. A critical, and often unaddressed element is having the skills and tools to protect and defend oneself and others. There is not a single animal or plant in nature that does not possess this ability. Wether it be camouflage, a shell, a stinger, poison, speed, being in a herd, etc. I continue to study and be amazed by the art and craft of the warrior. Bees can be seen as the ultimate example for us to live by - their complex communication skills and willingness to put the good of the hive first, their keen ability to sense danger and handle that danger appropriately, their dedication to their young. Bees work hard to keep the hive the proper temperature, and bring home a tremendous, sweet bounty from the diversity of the natural world. Honey bees have been my teachers for over 10 years, and they continue to be each season. I hope you will join me in this wild, sticky, sweet journey.
